About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, teens, and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, OCD, selective mutism, and trichotillomania. I also specialize in therapy for parenting issues.

I have clinical experience working in various settings including private practice, schools, community mental health, and residential facilities. I have specialized training in children 0-5, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and exposure and response prevention therapy.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies & Human Development from the University of Arizona. I went on to complete a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. In addition, I have completed UCSD’s Play Therapy Certificate Program and hold a credential as a Registered Play Therapist through the American Association of Play Therapy.

I am trained in two evidence-based practices: Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) for children and their caregivers who have experienced trauma and as a result display problematic symptoms: as well as Triple P Positive Parenting Program focusing on helping parents build skills to help manage children’s challenging behaviors.

My Approach

I promise to provide a non-judgmental, safe space to help you heal and grow. I utilize an eclectic approach using evidence-based treatment tailored to provide the most effective care for the individual. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Attachment-based therapy, Gestalt therapy, Person-Centered therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mindfulness. Depending on the treatment goals and needs of my client, I may solely use one of the therapeutic modalities mentioned above or a combination, and invite my clients to let me know what works best for them.

My style is collaborative in helping clients reach their goals. There is nothing more I love than to share my knowledge and skillset to help you achieve a higher state of well-being.
